ACORN Implicated in Second Sting

WASHINGTON D.C. (YBH.ME) – In a rather odd turn of events, a second undercover videotape exposing alleged corruption and criminality at ACORN has been released by BigGovernment.com’s James O’Keefe today.

BigGovernment.com Reporter James O'Keefe

BigGovernment.com Reporter James O'Keefe

Yesterday, the upstart website caused a stir when it released hidden camera footage of Baltimore-area ACORN officials giving a purported pimp and prostitute advice on how to cheat on their taxes and claim underage prostitutes as dependents.

Both ACORN employees involved in the incident were fired.  ACORN also released a statement claiming that the video was an attempt to smear ACORN, and that undercover teams attempted similar stunts at three other ACORN offices.

The so-called stunts were successful in at least one other office, as evidenced by the videotape released today. The second tape shows events in a  Washington D.C. office of ACORN.  In the tape, an ACORN employee tells O’Keefe and his counterpart Hannah Giles,  “she’s not going to put on (the loan application) that she’s doing prostitution … she doesn’t have to…. You don’t have to sit back and tell people what you do.”  The Baltimore tape contains much of the same advice.

ACORN has not released a statement in regard to the content of  the second videotape.

Yesterday, ACORN's defense was "only 25% of ACORN offices facilitate child rape." Today, it's "Only 50% of ACORN offices facilitate tax fraud and prostitution." Wonder what tomorrow's defense will be… we can assume there's more video from at least two more offices!

    Hey Scott,
I think they have hundreds of office locations if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully this is the end of AHORN.

Thank you for working so hard to expose ACORN!

Great, great work. You know the mainstream press is not going to report on this, and we need truth in this country, more than ever. Thank you.

I have to say that I'm a bit surprised that this isn't being covered by some of the larger news outlets. I live in Baltimore, so I heard it on the local news – I think, other than that, I wouldn't have heard word-one about it. Truly unfortunate.

I seriously hope that the government denies their public funding from this point onward.

  6. #7 by Tom on September 11, 2009 - 8:14 pm

We not only need to investigate ACORN's complete operation but also, ALL community organizations, as well as their ties to the whitehouse and President O who supports ACORN.. and funds them. All funding to ACORN and other community organizations, should be frozen immediately with a full accounting of how they spend their money…. These billions of dollars should go into the investigation.

    RICO investigation of ACORN NOW!

If Ohio can proceed with it's state level version of RICO what is stopping our fine Federal government?

In the meantime STOP federal funding and freeze their records and accounts and seize their computer records.

"ACORN also released a statement claiming that the video was an attempt to smear ACORN"
DID NOT ACORN fire the 2 employees involved in the incident- SO! IT'S TRUE.
    BURN! Y'all SMEARED yourself! ACORN
Now, I assume they will come after the guys that reported the truth. To try and misdirect
who the guilty ones are here.

As the employee of one of these community organizations, you better put a damn hold on that "un-American Activities" crap right now. Even if you don't, go ahead. Freeze our funding and investigate us. It's going to be really freaking boring. Here's why:

We don't go around telling people how to screw over the government. We don't lie on our taxes. We don't try and get people to vote illegally and we DON'T I repeat DON'T "facilitate child rape." Frankly, I don't even know what that's eluding to.

We DO support Van Jones in his green jobs initiatives for African-American communities, despite the racist crap Glenn Beck spreads around.
We DO support working families in their attempts to stay in their homes and stem the tide of foreclosures that are ruining our communities.
We DO support initiatives that fight for the rights of poor and working class Americans, and we have helped people keep their jobs in one of the worst recessions in history.

I know you guys don't really "do" the truth or equality, but well, I guess that's just where we're at an impasse. Those are the two things I will stand and die for.

It won't be boring at all. You may not be doing these things but the corrupt ACORN is. I am thankful that this organization is being exposed.

      Thanks girl……thanks

    • #13 by ChrisS on September 11, 2009 - 11:09 pm

Wow Ruth, you really drank the Kool-Aid didn't you? Van Jones is the racist Not Glenn Beck. All Glenn did was expose him using VAN JONES OWN WORDS! As to Acorn, I am going to do everything I can to make sure you never receive tax payer money ever again.

  10. #14 by Jeff on September 11, 2009 - 9:23 pm

Where is the mainline Media in all of this?? Thank God for Glenn Beck. Both Van Jones and Acorn exposed this week, but hardly a peep from the mainstream Media. Our government is clearly corrupt and it's time to take it back.

please let there be more videos on the horizon! I love these! I am really enjoying the laugh..

  12. #16 by Greg on September 11, 2009 - 10:05 pm

I am very concerned why the print media is not involved in this. Where are all the professional journalists? Interesting isn't it.

  13. #17 by HypoCrip on September 11, 2009 - 10:08 pm

Bah… The MSM is busy digging up dirt on the folks trying to smear their beloved ACORN. Also, from what I've seen, the "bad" people in the video are all black. It's obvious that the people behind this smear are racists – otherwise they would have attacked white people. All of this hypocrisy is giving me a headache – I think I'll go to my local ACORN, see if they know where I can find a nice massage parlor. Way too much tension.

    • #18 by dude on September 11, 2009 - 10:58 pm

Make sure you can make that a tax write off. Maybe they'll give you some advice on that!

  14. #19 by guest on September 11, 2009 - 10:25 pm

It makes me want to throw up that this corrupt and basically criminal organization is getting massive taxpayer funding and yet no REAL investigations are being done…. Sad

  15. #20 by Patriot on September 11, 2009 - 10:50 pm

Unfortunately I find ACORN and the mainstream MEDIA disappointing. In principle I think most clear thinkers are for grass roots organizations improving our communities and daily lives. However, Acorn has demonstrated time after time they are not genuine and certainly not to be trusted. Their agenda, shame on them, is not in the interest of the citizens of this great Country.

Furthermore, when we have our government involved in social engineering in concert with select main-stream media is there any wonder why we can no longer trust the main stream media to report the news. I am very concerned that our Government with the assistance of the media is placing our country on a very dangerous path pitting Americans against Americans. Sadly I see them using this friction to justify more ill conceived policies, regulations and decisions that only exaserbate the problems facing this country. God help us.

I find you people must love your crack:
    1. This was all over the freaking media! It was on CNN, ABC, the AP, etc…are you blind or just so in the clouds on your high horse you can't see?

    2. These folks tried this in 10 offices and it took only 2 offices w/ idiots to make this seem like this is some kind of conspiracy

    3. I'm supposing all of you are athiests, right? Devil worshippers? If not, I heard this line in some book something about those without sin casting the first stone? I guess you all are clear…good luck

    • #22 by SumGuy on September 11, 2009 - 11:42 pm

Yesterday ACORN was saying they tried this in 3 other offices, then 5, and now, according to you 10! Whatever. And yes, I'll sure as hell cast a stone at anyone assisting someone who deals in the underage sex slave market.

To liveintheclouds your name must fit you perfectly, did you or did you not hear a child in the back ground during ACORN taping?Did you or did you not hear the word CHILDREN being brought in for prostitution? sounds and I'm hoping you were getting something to drink when that part was playing ,because to think you just might enjoy the ideas of smearing any childs innocense is and always will be disgusting behavior to me and lord help the children.Maybe you ought to go back listen to the recording again fully and put yourself in the shoes of a parent that could have gotten the news of their child being seriously abused while forced to work in the prostitution ring if this event have actually fell thru the cracks. I HOPE & PRAY THIS TAPE WAS MADE IT IN TIME!

      Well said.

These were two idiots and they're gone. .. good. But to imply the whole place is corrupt because you disagree with their political mission to empower the the poor and to allow them to have a political voice is not an American value. They are not communist, just pooling together to become heard. Gee kind of like a
      freakin' Tea Party!!!

Two people in one office does not make a RICO case. Be serious.

Umm, probably something like… “Oh c’mon! You know you all want a $20 Triple-A ******.”

For the ones that keep saying We are not that kind of organization,we do help people in need,we are taking our jobs seriously. The We should then be ( I ).For as WE the people all know there is bad seed and evil in every area that honesty and loyality to All people that are looking for guidiance, help and inspiration in their lives .Look at the lies that have been proven in our own White House pass and present, look at the ministry look at the courts,senators,congressmen/women the list goes on and on.Just because we the people are the little fish in the pond doesn't mean we're not smart enough to realize when something stinks. And to step up and defend with the word We makes me wonder, when protecting and defending a group instead of protecting your own self image is more important.I for one never knew those women of ACORN until they were acknowledged by the media. And I thank GOD none of my family has ever been in their presents, you just don't trash human life like that.No humanbeing should be sacrified for the power of money.
