BOSTON (YBH.ME) -  With over 70% of the vote in, Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown has a 7% lead which is nearly impossible to turn around at this point.  YBH!, CNN and the AP have all called the race for Republican Scott Brown.

Scott Brown wins U.S. Senate seat.

Ms. Coakley would have had to win the remaining Boston area precincts with a 50% margin to win Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat after 55% of the vote was tallied.  A next to impossible task.

Ms. Coakley ran what many pundits called a “sluggish” and weak campaign.  Mr. Brown on the other hand ran a near perfect campaign, according to political watchers.

Martha Coakley conceded to Scott Brown at 9:20 p.m. EST.

Hey, Obama lovers take the hint. Maybe we can have a U.S. where the people get what they ask for and not what the electoral college "thinks" they know better then we do and decide for us. Let's get away from the USSA and back to the USA

    • dreglord

actually, pretty sure Obama did win the popular vote, whereas bush didn't. so, pretty sure what you're saying is the opposite of how it actually works.

I do hope that the Dems learn from this and try to re-steer their course on Health Care reform. Their plans stunk to high heaven.

Congratulations Senator Brown on this outstanding and "world shaking" WIN.

This is bigger than anyone thought.

AND "3 – Atta Boys" to the people of Mass. for their confirmation today that "We the People" still rule our Great Country.

    Thank You all.

Judging from your stunning command of english sentence structure you might want to go back to "USSA". You also might want to look back at your Government class notes (you must have made it to 12th grade though) to review what the electoral college really does.
