WASHINGTON, D.C. (YBH.ME) – Senator Chuck Grassley (R – Iowa) has sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius, warning that the taxpayer-supported website may be subject to Senate investigation.

Grassley takes on White House HHS practices.
The site features an easy-to-find button allowing the user to send an email to HHS in support of health care reform. The accompanying text states the White House platform for the health care bill, matters still under debate in the Senate.
Grassley’s letter pointed out that HHS had recently requested insurers get permission from beneficiaries before sending out mailers. “The use of the official HHS.gov Web site for activities that seem to be nothing more than government propaganda raises many serious questions,” the letter continued.
