Huffington Post Users Call for Violence Against Wall Street, HuffPost Allows Comments to Stand

(YBH) – Perusing the ever angry comments section of the Huffington Post, I came across this gem this morning about corporate CEO’s and Wall Street lobbyists:

I’d like to see more Wall St. lobbyests and CEO’s cry.

Right before they’re beheaded.

The comment was made not by some troll to HuffPost, but by a community moderator named “Turnip”.  A person the Huffington Post allows to moderate the opinions of others is calling for the beheading of businesspeople.

For fun, log into the Huffington Post and try and write an overly critical comment about Obama or any other HuffPost favored personality and see what happens.  Your comment will not see the light of day.  Call for Democrats in Congress to be beheaded and you’d probably be flagged and have your profile sent over to Homeland Security.

Nine people did flag the comment, which is still live as of this writing, but others commented with “LMAO!!!!!” and “I’m with you! Bring back heads on a pike! There’s something to be said for accountability…” or “Hey, aren’t those torture and extraordinary rendition laws still on the books. Since the right wingers liked them so much maybe someone could use them on Wall Street manipulators. “What’s your game, who do you work for?” glug glug”.

The Huffington Post will be the first to call out some tea party wacko if he carries a sign that comes anywhere close to advocating violence.   Not the case when their own wackos advocate the death of opponents.  The Huffington Post is awash in double standards, any media watcher knows this.   Allowing users to call for the violent death of businesspeople is beyond the pale, however.

Shame on the Huffington Post for allowing this practice to continue.    Violence is not the answer Arianna.

Now I know you're not surprised. The real screaming for heads on the Left isn't even started yet. Wait till November. If the Repubs do a tenth as well as predicted (and color me pessimistic on that score) they'll call for recounts, martial law, Wall Street and Repub heads and God knows what else.

I have experience the exact same thing. Make a point that reveals the Left's lies and your comment will be deleted by their censors, i.e. community moderators. The Left are shameless lying, hypocrites.

To pretend to take serious the calls for beheading is about as dishonest as you can get! These are references to the French Revolution that NOBODY takes seriously except some wingnut "journalist" with an agenda. The post is really just calling for the "business people (2 words!)" to be called to account. Are you for that?

Does the concept of *HYPERBOLE* mean anything to you??? Do you even *have* or understand the concept of "a sense of humor?" Or perhaps you don't mean to be serious in the first place, but only to sound as if you were, all to effect more "outrage" at "the liberals". Get a grip! It's a friggin' joke, an overstatement that was meant to be outrageous enough to have been understood as such, but which fell flat upon your tone-deaf ears and reactionary mindset. Get over this childish BS and find something worthwhile to bitch about, since that seems your only mode.
