Hi, I'd like to suggest you to pay a visit to La Morgue de Bello Monte so you can verify with your own eyes the daily killings, yes 100 per week, just in Caracas, that's freedom. Chavez goes to Copenhagen to a Global Warming summit, and he talks about politics, he is off the point, criticized US, EU but not a word about China. Venezuela has an oil based economy so how Chavez can tell the industrialized countries off, he is the oil dealer. With the oil revenue he should have done much more to develop a diversified economy, today after over 10 year that Chavez has been in power, Venezuela doesn't produce hardly anything but oil, and that is a decisive contribution to global warming

That is exactly how it is.

I am from Venezuela, and although I can superficially agree with these remarks, it is important to know that this man is one of the most dangerous (and damaging) in the world.

It is now surprise that he would get applauses and standing ovations for his hard criticisms of capitalism, the West, I even would say something similar, and a lot of probably agree with him and other developing nations regarding the Accord made in Copenhagen. But it is a mistake to take Chavez’s words as truthful or enlightening.

The last decade, the prices of venezuelan oil for purchasing countries have been absolutely insane, like DIANA said, the huge amount of money being received by Venezuela through oil exchange is being mostly used by the government (Chavez and his team of lunatics) for futile purposes.

One hundred people a week are murdered in Venezuela.

With just a handful of exceptions, the world today, is a place where "ignorance" reins. Those above comments criticizing Chavez and the likes and "glamorizing" the west and capitalism, have no knowledge of the truth and what the enemy is doing to it. 10- 20 years down the road, we will see a handful of characters, totally dominating the political and financial arena in the world. Wars will continue to eliminate the "undesirables" and enslave those who remain. What we have here, is the coming of the anti-christ and the beginning of Jacob's troubles. The next few years, those alive will envy the dead and the chaos will shortly ensued. May God have mercy on ALL of us.

Chavez was right on. Every generation needs a new revolution, said US president Thomas Jefferson. The one against greedy corporate capitalism is long overdue.

I agree there is no need for people on this debate to use swearing, it just shows a lack of interlect and an ability to choose words, Having said that everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter what words they choose to use it would just be nicer if they elaborated on their comments. I dream of a day where humans respect that others have differing opinions and what works in one country or continent does not automatically mean it will work elsewhere.

I mentioned before im an englishman in venezuela, I am sad that my country was once an empire that raped the world of it's natural resources and killed many people across the globe. The english once thought themselves as the world police and eventually that all ended, I play no other countries try to police the world and push their ideology onto others. I sometime wish i was more educated on world history as i wish others were also. I think people should fully know where they have been to know where they are going.

I was one of the many english that welcomed Barak Obama winning the US presidency, for too long america was seen around the world as a bully and a country that interfered in others, I find americans to be fantastic people, friendly, entertaining and driven, In all countries we get wackos who think unlike the majority and i believe a lot of americans care about the world as a whole.

On the flip side some americans think they are the chosen ones and forget they are a multi-racial society that has been founded on diversity.
