Yes, But, However!

Fear of insulting Islam is slowly becoming the modus operandi of the West.  London Olympic planners have decided to face toilets away from Mecca for fear of insulting Islam.  Hollywood, which has gone way overboard in playing up to Muslims, in its latest act of appeasement has left the the Kaaba in Mecca standing, while destroying the Christian world’s relics, in Roland Emmerich’s upcoming end times flick “2012.”

Appeasement leads bullies of all stripes, in this case extremist Muslims, to carry on with bullying and, in most cases, ramp it up. 

A recent interview spelled out Mr. Emmerich’s thinking.  He told ScifiWire that he wanted to destroy Mecca in the film, but his co-writer Harold Kloser said “I will not have a fatwa on my head because of a movie.”  Mr. Emmerich agreed and Mecca was left standing.  I, for one,  will not be seeing the film.  Too wimpy.

St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chaple, and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro are wiped out.  Yet good old Mecca remains untouched.

If Mr. Emmerich is concerned about insulting Muslims, why is he on board with destroying Christian symbols?  Oh yeah, the threat of implied violence.  However, the more western media and entertainment vehicles appease the radical elements of Islam, the more radical Islam will come to dominate the debate in world affairs.  Which is exactly the plan of radical Islamic leaders.

I say that the movie “2012″ should be shunned.

Me, I’ll wait for the next James Bond film. You know the one where some European scientist or American businessmen threatens world peace. Yawn.

Join me in boycotting Hollywood’s latest act of cowardice.  If you must see the film, please buy a ticket for a different film and then head over to a theater playing “2012.”
