Israel Bungles Raid, Let the Jew Bashing Begin

I have ceased to be amazed at the world’s attitude toward Israel.  Israel is always convicted without trial, and in the eyes of Europe, the American left, and Islamic countries, is 100% responsible for all of the strife in the Persian Gulf and for that matter, much of the world.

At the heart of this antipathy toward Israel is anti-Semitism.

After today’s tragic and bungled raid of a Turkish ship headed for the Gaza strip on a humanitarian mission, the world is alight with a new round of Israel hatred.  Now Israel may be at fault here.  The facts will bear that out or not over the coming days.  We all mourn the loss of life here.  But by and large, Israel has already been tried and convicted.  Just like the Jews in Germany in the 1930′s, the Jews in Israel are persecuted without trial.  This time in the world press, and if the Iranian President has his way, much like the Germans did in World War II.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that “the inhuman action of the Zionist regime” would bring the “sinister and fake regime closer than ever to its end.”  Mr. Ahmadinejad wasn’t referring to the reign of Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, but to Israel herself.

Anti-Israel, read anti-Jewish, rallies were held across the world including in western cities like Paris and Los Angeles.  “The Jews must pay,”  is what the rallies are really saying.

Over at the Huffington Post, the home base of the American left,  comments against the Jewish state ran 5-to-1.  Comments ranged from “Quite frankly, Israel needs to be put in their place” to “Israel is engaging in acts of blatant terrorism on civilian targets,” to “Our relationship with Israel undermines all attempts for us to have good relations with Muslim nations.”  The American left wouldn’t even admit that the Ft. Hood shooter was influenced in any way by his religion until weeks after his act of jihad influenced killing spree.  Yet, the verdict that Israel committed a “blatant” act of terrorism is clear just hours after the raid took place.

Can anyone honestly say that Hamas and the Palestinians are true partners in peace and that Israel is solely holding up the peace process?  Most people know that both sides have internal roadblocks that prohibit them from pursuing a genuine peace.  Only Israel pays a price for this.  Hamas, for the most part, gets a pass.

“If it wasn’t for those pesky Jews we’d have peace in the world” seems to be the new mantra of many across the world.

The image of Palestinians as the minority and victim is a convenient and useful one for anti-Semites worldwide. Muslims have the biggest beef with Jews and Israel.  The truth is, some of the Arab states hate Israel simply because it exists. The fact that the West plopped a Jewish state on their turf enrages many Muslims in the Middle East.

Make no mistake, the anti-Israel, and read again, anti-Jewish forces around the world are hoping to create a climate where the world will accept an Iranian attack on the Jewish state.  The United States won’t permit that to happen.  President Obama is not the biggest friend of Israel, however his commitment to defending her would be absolute in the case of an Iranian attack.

Keep this in mind,  since it is not publicized enough.  There are roughly 13 million Jews in the world and over 1.5 billion Muslims.  Who is really the underdog here?  Israeli bashing is really Jew- bashing.  Hitler would be proud of the political climate vis-a-vis the Sons of Abraham these days.

Israel is NOT a state and will never be. History repeats itself, you better watch it.

  • youmustbekidding

I see – your comically idiotic bluster is supposed to excuse Israel for legally attacking civilians in International waters.

    Good luck with that

    • Ploni Almoni

"excuse Israel for legally attacking civilians"

Well, I'm glad you agree what they did was legal!

Both Israel and Egypt enforce a blockade against Gaza. Egypt doesn't permit any aid to enter across the border. Israel permits unlimited amounts aid to enter across the Israeli border. Currently it's about 100 truckloads a day.

The only reason they have a blockade at all is because Gaza has launched over ten thousand rockets at Israeli civilians, and Gaza is ruled by Hamas. Have you ever read the Hamas governing covenant? Here's a few excerpts:

Preamble: "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."
Article 7: "'The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them."
Article 13: "Peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement"

These people aren't interested in peace. Israel has made peace with Egypt and Jordan, and has offered generous peace deals to the Arabs living in Judea and Samaria. (And Israel completely withdrew all settlers an troops from Gaza.)

When the Arabs in Gaza stop launching rockets into Israel, and stop cross-border raids to murder or kidnap Israelis, then there will be peace.

Israel is finally being exposed as the bully and inhumane monster it has been allowed to become. It has NOTHING to do with ethnicity – it's about power. Israel is neurotic, petty and dangerous.

True, Israel is a small country in terms of population but with our backing and with our technology they are a formidable power. None of the Muslim nations could take them on head to head and expect to win. And I guess that is why we are seeing this effort against Israel shift to a public perception campaign. Israel allowed themselves to be sucked into a situation designed to make them look bad.

Israel and Jews forever the victims and eternally persecuted. Anti semtism (much as you would like to protest otherwise) does not exist within a vacuum – it is a rational response to irrational Jewish behaviour, and Jews fear being disliked so much you should do something to rectify your attitudes towards your fellow human beings.
The world is beginning to see things very clearly now when it comes to Israel and no amount of screaming anti semitism is going to detract from that. That term has lost its poignancy and effect I'm afraid.

You wonder why people are always "picking on" small ole victimised Israel and no other country? Well no other tyrannical country holds itself up as being a bastion of democracy and a "light unto other nations". Israel does yet the government and its policies towards the Palestinians are nothing short of satanic (and this is coming from an athesist).
You have all overplayed the victim hand and the world is no longer interested in listening to you… you only need to look online for evidence of that. Israel is sociopathic and so are all the Jews who support it. Why not simply be honest and say that you want the Palestinians out, so you can have the land for yourselves rather than continuing the lies.

Israel seems to take Nazi Germany as it's model of how a country should treat others.
    Look what happened to them.

    For a peace world…
We need a Jew Free World!

    Mat 27:1
When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

    Mak 14:1
After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

    Mat 26:3
Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

    Mat 26:4
And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

    1Ts 2:15
Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

How dare you quote scripture to condemn the Jews. This is a blatant mistake and misinterpretation of what the Bible is all about.

  • tim666

Most of you jew haters do so because you are afraid to take on the true enemy that is Islam. Little panty waste American Social Democrats.

  • You Know Who I Am

Wantonly calling all people who criticize the actions of Israel "anti-semites" and "Jew-haters" and even "self-hating Jews" will accomplish nothing more than to eventually remove the meaning of such phrases. This tactic of making accusations of anti-semitism rather than face certain hard truths about Israel is a verbal vandalism of every holocaust memorial.

  • You Know Who I Am

We all know how this plays out. Israel, convinced that the world is against them, will not be constrained by world opinion. They will therefore, act more and more in a way that puts the world against them. The Palestinians, convinced that Israel will never allow them to have a functioning state, will eventually uniformly agree with Israel on one point – there is not room here for two separate states with two separate religious-and-cultural-identities. This strange sort of war of terror (meaning – I want my enemy to be too afraid to oppose me) by both sides, punctuated by the war for public opinion, will go on. As long as Christian mythology is widely-influential over American opinion, the U.S.A. will support the strain of Hebrew mythology that helped create Israel against the opinion of Islamic mythology. One day, the U.S.A. will either not be able to maintain this support, or not be willing to. When that day comes, there is a fair chance that there will be some sort of use of Israeli nuclear weapons. Even so, there is very little chance that Israel can maintain itself as a Jewish state for very long in the long view of history. Just for perspective, consider that there are probably twice as many 'undocumented workers' in the U.S.A. than there are Jewish citizens of Israel.

"Just for perspective, consider that there are probably twice as many 'undocumented workers' in the U.S.A. than there are Jewish citizens of Israel."

Nazi-man, are you saying we should just wipe out those Jews now? Your comment seems to lean in that direction.

If you are not calling for the destruction of the Jews, what are you saying?

Look , both sides, shut it. Israel, I criticize because some of it, I don't know, like denying Gaza to manufacture or receive aid is bad. But the guy here makes it anti-Semite for me to think it. Why the heck is that. Because, sometimes ( not to say that some of it isn't anti-Semite) when Israel is admonished, they automatically think that it is racist, and shut out opposition. Some on the other side ( amazingly, I have center-left friends who want the Jewish state but sees problems) see it as Zionist aggression. First , the state should not have stopped the flotilla. They found weapons that would be used in a kitchen, and even though the boaters attacked, the commandos provoked it, but that does not excuser them. Israel should have used riot control, starting with knockout gas and stun guns, and use the Navy Seals, instead of boarding, to go and cut the boat engine from underwater. Now , instead, Israel bought a heap of world opposition to it ( and stop reflexly saying RACISM! and admit wrong) and emboldened the likes of Hamas and IRAN. And the guy writing the article and the commentators here should be ashamed of themselves.
