NEW JERSEY (YBH.ME)

Lyrics to the Pro-Barack Obama Song sung by school children in Burlington, New Jersey.  Video of the children singing the song was released on YouTube recently.  The Drudge Report and other media outlets focused on the video today.

Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue —- Mr. President we know you’ll do the trick
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray —-

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

the bible says you should have no idles before me said the lord jesus christ. and all of you barack hussein obama followers who are exalting him will one day find out when god comes back that you should not have put him on such a high pedestal and praise him. for there is no other name to be praised but jesus christ. so think of what you are allowing your children to sing, a song worshiping someone other than god. make sure you open your eyes before its too late.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/RURlyThatDumb RURlyThatDumb

      Seriously?

      • Mrs. Joelson

If you think worshipping Christ is crazy, then worshipping Obama is even crazzier!

    • D. Hancock

Amen and I say again Amen. Those who do not believe should read Revelations and their perspective just might change. I know where I will go when Jesus returns and it won't be singing the praises of Barack Hussein Obama.

      • Linda

Jesus returned to that generation, just like He said he would.

    • Linda

No, God said that, not Jesus.

    • Linda

No, it was God who said this, not Jesus.

  • mac

I think this is terrible,God bless the little children for they know no better

  • Joseph

    this is very disturbing, indeed

  • Bob

concerned mom, I agree with you and the correct spelling is idols. Sorry for correcting your spelling, just a pet peeve. I do agree with your comments

  • Amazed

Your all out of your minds! What part of either of these songs is offensive in any way? Get down off your soapbox.

    • Kisha

      Every syllable

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/RURlyThatDumb RURlyThatDumb

      I totally agree.

    • American Voter

I immediately thought of those propaganda videos occasionally released from Cuba, or North Korea–all they needed was to waive little flags while singing.

These kids don't have an understanding of the politics, and should not have been manipulated by the teachers responsible. Shame on them. At minimum the parents should have been informed of what was going to be presented, and given an opportunity to choose to let their children participate.

  • http://detentionslip.org Hall Monitor

This story made http://detentionslip.org ! Check it out for all the crazy headlines from our schools and more controversial Obama news.

  • Kisha

This is exasperating the full outcry of the what is becoming the great American atrocity, beginning with our future – OUR precious children. We need to take them back before the government lays more claim to them than they already have.

    • Phil Fill

I totally agree. If the State can't even maintain their own morals, then what makes them think they can raise our children?

  • Shocked

Wow!! This brings another man to mind…..HITLER! Brainwashing them young I guess will keep them loyal. I don't know about anyone else but this is really scary to me. If my kid came home singing this I would definelty march down to that school and have a talk with the teahcer brainwashing my child!

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/RURlyThatDumb RURlyThatDumb

Dude, Obama didn't write the song.

      • Seriously?

Your handle suggests that you might be "RlyThatDumb." The guy never said that he was going to talk to Obama about it – he said he was going to talk to the TEACHERS, who did write it. Hello.

    • Linda

President Obama did not order anyone to orchastrate this song or sing it.

  • Kisha

I agree – I would pull my kids out of school in a heartbeat. They can't pray in school, silently or otherwise but they can praise this "messiah". The only thing Hitler said that makes any sense is "How fortunate for government that it's people don't think." I made sure my kids didn't see the presidential address – this would set me over the edge.

    • Linda

Students can pray silently. This is also Pray Around the Flagpole day every week.

  • Grandma

How dare you indoctrinate these innocent children with this garbage. Our economy has tumbled just like his approval rating since taking office. This man doesn't need your idolizing he does enough self idolizing for the whole country. He seems to have forgotten he had a white mother, therefore he is as white as he is black, enough of the "first black president nonsense" When he stops bowing to Islamic leaders while snubbing the Christion leaders in our world I may then start to take him seriously. Until then I will pray for him daily that he finds his way before he really destroys our nation as well as the rest of the world. Leave the innocent children out of it.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/RURlyThatDumb RURlyThatDumb

Um…the economy was wrecked before Obama took office. And again, he didn't write the song so he isn't the one saying the "first black president" nonsense.

      Sheesh people.

  • gigi

You go Grandma! I agree, wholeheartedly, with every word!

  • Don Smith

This is as sick as it gets. The teacher should be fired and or arrested!!!!! Everyone should email the school and protest her attempt to indoctrinate innocent children .I know by now obama ( the lack of caps was not a mistake ) himself has seen it and I bet our wanta be rockstar president loves it. He will no doubt go down as the worst president in American history. Sorry jimmy carter you have finally lost your title.People open your eyes we are losing or country and our rights to this far left media whor

    • bob

sick as it gets huh. kids are singing a song to support their president. oh my gosh this is so sickening. Lets Fire a teacher for acknowledging our president during black history month. Get a grip people. If they sang a song about Bush you guys would all be applauding and excited.

    • Lauren from NJ

The teacher did retire at the end of the last school year.

  • Not a reactionary

Okay, I followed this link from a friend's website, and I don't usually comment in public forums, but I had to say something this time. I didn't see anything wrong with the song other than it's a little cheesy, just some little thing the kids wrote for their visiting president. But some of these comments are crazy! All this talk of idols, indoctrination, and sickness is ridiculous! I remember my sister's Sunday school teacher telling the class they should respect President Bush because God put him at the head of our nation. I guess the same lesson doesn't apply if you decide you disagree with Obama?

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/RURlyThatDumb RURlyThatDumb

      Agreed!

    • sally

      well put! I totally agree.

    • Lucia

You've got to be kidding. I don't know any little kids who would have come up with the line " equal work means equal pay." If the teacher didn't write the lyrics, some other adult did. You're too trusting, too gullible. You're the type who could get shipped off to the ovens believing that the authorities were sending you off on a pleasant holiday. As the saying goes, " Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

    • Phil Fill

Funny, I remember the libs up in arms because Bush uttered the word "God." Whether God puts anyone in charge of a nation or not, people still have the right to criticize public figures, including the president. If you follow that line of logic, then those who criticized Bush were wrong, since people who criticize Obama are wrong, right? Can't have it both ways.

    • Not a reactionary

I totally agree one of the great things about our country is we are allowed to voice our opinions, support and criticize our leadership. Obviously with the diversity in the United States, not everyone is going to agree with any given president. What disturbs me is some of the earlier commentary. I'd be more concerned about my children hearing that kind of talk–slander, hate, and name calling–from adults than singing a song for a school performance, whatever political alignment it may be.

Also, I saw plenty of footage showing children getting involved in both sides of the election last year. New Jersey is a democratic state where Obama is very popular, and this performance in a liberal area school is not so surprising. It is a way for children to get involved in politics, and if there are parents who disapprove, they can have their child not participate. Rest assured something like this would probably never happen in a Republican dominated area. We all "indoctrinate" our children and hope they will follow what we believe.

  • Megs

Alright then lol. If ya don't like the song, don't sing it hehe. Silly people.

    • Lobo

If you don't like people disagreeing with Obama, then don't read/reply to these posts! Heehee, silly gurl!

  • Lori

Respect is one thing–singing praises to this man or any man for that matter is just ridiculous. I'm sorry, did I miss something–did we make our little 7 and 8 year olds sing songs to Bush–or any other president. You can guarantee if my kid were in that group, they would have been pulled from school so fast their head would spin. Read the constitution America, this guy belongs in a European country–a small village in Kenya is missing an idiot!!!

    • Kisha

I hope Kenya wants him back – they can freaking have him and not soon enough. Good one Lori!!

  • jon

remember the messiah-like campaign poster? the adulatory (unending) media coverage? the national endowment for the arts urging artists to pimp for the prez? we are in hugo chavez territory folks. (figures, they're buddies.) the libs on this site who pretend this stuff is meaningless are just pretending. they love the guy…so they see nothing wrong with it.

    • Kisha

There are too many comments, none of them nice about the libs who are licking his boots… so best to not post what they are really all about. Stupidity is the fastest spreading disease, so let's keep the left quarrantined.

  • Ray Py

It's a terrible reminder of this song sung by a group of Hitler's youth in the controversial musical "Caberet".
    .
Now Fatherland, Fatherland, show us the sign
Your children have waited to see
    The morning will come
    When the world is mine
    Tomorrow belongs to me
    Tomorrow belongs to me
    Tomorrow belongs to me
    Tomorrow belongs to me

    • Phil Fill

That's a good point! I remember seeing it years ago. Not a bad movie.

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/RURlyThatDumb RURlyThatDumb

I really wish this country wasn't so full of ignorant close-minded people.

    • Lobo

That was the dumbest statement I ever heard. You have a flair for the ironic, I'll give you that.

  • http://indyfromaz.wordpress.com S Glitz

For all the Liberals out there who think it's nothing.
    How about this rendition:

    Mm, mmm, mm!
    George W. Bush

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    George W. Bush

He said we must be fair today
    Equal work means equal pay
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    George W. Bush

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    George W. Bush

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    George W. Bush

    Yes!
    Mmm, mmm, mm
    George W. Bush

    Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue —- Mr. President we know you’ll do the trick
    So here’s a hearty hip-hooray —-

    Hip, hip hooray!
    Hip, hip hooray!
    Hip, hip hooray!

Now what have you got to say…. :)

    • Lucia

LOL! That was great!!!! Something for the libs to ponder.

      • Kisha

Careful, ponder may be one of those big words they can't define.. small minds you know.

  • TanyaEnid

LOL! Why is everybody so concerned over a bunch of little kids singing a pretty, elemental song to the President of the United States? The comments in this page are outrageous and totally hilarious. What a bunch of drama queens…..=oP…….my tummy hurts.

    • Lobo

      Answer me this:

How would you react if your kids were to sing songs about Bush in school?

(I got a bet that says you'd be upset. )

"If you live by the sword, then you die by the sword."

  • Doug

Here's the REAL analogy for this atrocity called Obama: http://tinyurl.com/yas7cw6

  • Mitsuko-R(AZ)

Barack Hussein Obama mmm mmm mm. Who made up these lyrics? Jesus, help us! This is what we send our kids to school to "learn"? I'd call it indocternation… However, I'm not sure if these people (school teachers who made the song)are even smart enough to indocternate. It's ridiculous… this in combination with the video about govt. made by the tides foundation, plus my own experience of liberal academia, has me thinking "home school" if I ever have children.

  • Jake

Hmm…using children to advance your own political agenda? Nice.
how about crediting the last 44 president's that made this country great and what it is today, not a man in office who has yet to accomplish something of worth.
Barack Obama did not do any great accomplishment becoming president. He was elected by the majority of the vote. the american people did the great accomplishment of overcoming prejudice and electing the first black president.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1130691146 Kara Toney O'Donnell

That's right Jake! I totally agree!

  • http://www.obama-mamas.com Sandy

You’re all insane. A celebration of the first black President during Black History month is normal in a sane person’s mind. Every school should have done it. I’m sure when the first woman President is elected we’ll have songs about that too.

You all need to go to church and pray for the scales to be lifted because you’re a bunch of sick hateful idiots.

    • gilly

Sandy, we in this country, have a long history of celebrating the individual and the freedoms that our fore fathers have died to protect for us. We do not sing songs or allow any one to be glorified in that way. If you don't have real passion for your freedoms and your way of life you will lose them and sooner than you think!

    • Bob Baboon

No one is upset about having a black president. In fact, I'd be proud to have a black president. I have no problems having songs celebrating great people. However, Obama is half-black & half-white. He has grown up to hate his white half. SIDE NOTE: Whether your half this or half that, be proud. No shame. Anyway, he's a hardcore socialist. He's on record for being against the Consitution & thinks everyone needs to be equalized as far as money goes. What is so great about Obama? He wants to control all facets of the economy — there's no glory in thievery. Can anyone tell me of any dictator that's ever done any good for anyone?

If you want to celebrate a would-be despot, that's your business; if you want me to celebrate a would-be despot, then I have a problem.

  • Ghost of Cults Past

Does anyone see a parallel between Obama's attempts at being popular and Jim Jones? What's next, Obama has a "special drink" he wants us to drink? *chills* That's a scary thought! *chills again*

  • WV Dreamer

    First song:

"He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama"

Comes from 'Jesus Loves Me' song' and the second song is a (parody) of 'Battle Hymn of the Republic'; do any of these children know these songs? I'm surprised no one picked up on this at all!

I though the liberals wanted to separate 'church & state' — if that's the case, quit worshipping Obama in school!

I hate to burst anyone's bubbles, but Obama isn't the Messiah; in fact, he's anything but a Savior. If these people want to start a cult around Obama, do so on your own time, in privacy. Funny, the same people who despise Jesus worship Obama. Go figure?

    • Linda

But the "right" is the side that calls him the "messiah".

    • Linda

The right are the ones calling him a messiah, not the left!! Get it right.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1130691146 Kara Toney O'Donnell

It's so sad…the end is near. I'm prepared to meet my savior so all is good in my household! Hope the rest of the world can say the same.

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/Lauren277 Lauren277

I don't think this song will be downloaded onto my iPod, but I don't see the big deal, they are kids and he is our leader. (no, I did not vote for him). I really think there are more important things in this world o be worrying about then this.

    • Uncle Frank NJ

If you fail to see the point of this discussion, then no point in explaining any of this to you. Those who fail to study history will be doomed to repeat it. People like you are more concerned about who won American Idol than what's going in the schools or what this putz is trying to do to us! Bottom line!

      • Patrick

So Frank, I guess you failed to notice the "for him" in regards to voting in Lauren's post. Just because you disagree with someone's political positions does not therefor give you right to sabotage or slander those people.

        • Uncle Frank NJ

I think you 2 should hook up since you both think the same way, just promise me you 2 won't bear any children — idiots begating idiots!

Let me get this straight — afterall, I'm from "Joisey" — I can't disagree with someone because their differ from mine? Are you with ACORN or McCain? Can you tell me where I slandered/sabotaged your ladylove. If that's the case, then your reply to mine was pointless as you did the same to me. And by the way, I can say whatever I want. When you run this country, then maybe we can talk about that, bub. If you reply, be sure to be sober. I have less tolerance to drunks than for liberals.

I know she didn't vote for Obama — if anyone voted for McCain, it's almost as bad as voting for McCain. I'm a Libertarian — I support people like Bob Barr. The Republicans have lost their guts. I can't tell them apart from the Dems. Ron Paul is the only Republican I support & Zel Miller is the only Dem I respect.

    • http://www.pulpit-pimps.org Melvin

No. He is our president. Kim Jung Il is N. Korea's leader. Castro is Cuba's leader. Obama is the president – who should exercise leadership – but doesn't.

When is the last time someone took of school time to teach children songs about how much theu agree with the president's policies.

  • Wake Up Peeps

This is insane, the parents need to pull their children out of the public school system, and from my understanding this is illegal.

  • holee shmolee

I don't know anyone who worships any President, with the exception of those who believe Ronald Reagan was the messiah. This is silly, all this talk of "indocternation" and "idles." But if you feel you must pull your kids out of the school system, please do so. And do it soon, before we have to send them to the re-education camps along with their parents.

  • Bri

Shades of Nazi Germany. Proof that our "education" is now served with a large dosage of left-wing indoctrination.

  • Jyn

Catchy tune, if I may say so, I've been humming it all day!

    mmm mmm mmm
    barack hussein obama
I won this Countrys highest honor
    scamming with ACORNs power

oh wait??? Did I mess that up? Hardly. Indoctination indeed. This is absurb and I hope the women (there were two female voices I heard on the video) get fired. Replace the barack hussein obama with George W. Bush and sing this song 8 years ago and tell me there wouldn't have been an uproar.

    • Not a reactionary

I assure you there would have been an uproar, and I would have still said it was ridiculous! New Jersey is a liberal state. If a children's song for Bush showed up from Texas, it would be equally innocuous. Kids are "indoctrinated" on a daily basis at home and at school. We all get to choose what we teach our own children.

  • SANITY AGAINPLEASE

Iran is refining uranium, war still in Iraq, war in Afghanistan,Israel threatening to bomb Iran, world economy in toilet and you bitch and moan about a school song that would have never been thought of again by these kids were it not for a bunch of `outraged' adults. MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING!

    • Phil Fill

While I agree with you, when things hit close to home, we need to take care of that first. If the children are brainwashed, who'll continue the fight against nations like Iran? Please think about that.

    • Linda

      Yes, indeed.!

    • Melvin

Yeah – instead of teaching our kids to think, these bozos are making them a bunch of Obamabots.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1130691146 Kara Toney O'Donnell

    Enter text right here!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1130691146 Kara Toney O'Donnell

My kids won't be singing that song! I can tell you THAT right now.

  • Andrew

What is wrong with this? So many things. First and for most, they sing a mans praises about how he changed/changes the world[united states of America] yet I have seen little to no action, but "Great promises". And no 1 man could possibly accomplish what he says he wants to do. Even when we speaks he talks about all the people would need to chip in and help. If so you would lift up the masses before you lift up that one sole man who has done nothing but promise and talk big about what his plans are. There were so many other great presidents in the past who have accomplished so much more than Obama will ever accomplish and they do not have songs sung about them today, on how great and wonderful they are/were. This is ridiculous how a man who has done nothing has risen to such a high pedestal with some of the population. It saddens me to see our culture to be so dumb and blindly follow a man who has done nothing of significance. And to be in his position and not say something about the teachers teaching the children these songs is a shame and out right displeasing to any sense of honour or dignity that Obama has. Humble yourself and serve the people, that is what a man in his position should be doing. We all should humble ourselves and serve others but especially someone in power and politics. Please take caution and understand this is not a bash, just a sad statement about how your culture our families our lives have declined in morals, ethics, general decency as human beings.

  • sam

i'm a conservative and am embarrassed that people are so petty about this song….the message is good so chill out extremists!!

  • PersonWithABrain

There's a whole lot of stupid in this country. I suppose that's to be expected since 20+% of the population still approved of Bush's Presidency. For instance, when school children flanking Laura Bush on the White House lawn sang a song of praise for Bush, there were no cries of "OMG Indoctrination! Hitler youth!" Yet now you morons run around like lemmings quoting anything Michelle Malkin's retarded mouth spews. We're doomed as a nation.
