LOS ANGELES (YBH.ME) – Left wing organizing website MoveOn.org has started a campaign to pressure Congressional and other Democrats to turn down appearances on Fox News, picking up on the Obama White House’s theme of attempting to marginalize the network.

Popular Fox commentator Glenn Beck.
Over the weekend, both Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod had choice words for Fox News. Mr. Axelrod went as far as claiming that Fox is “not really news.” Earlier, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn attacked Fox News in an interview with CNN calling Fox the “research arm of the Republican party.”

Stay off FOX
President Obama is fighting back against FOX. The White House communications director said FOX is a “wing of the Republican Party…let’s not pretend they’re a news network.”
To draw attention to its biased coverage, President Obama will not appear on FOX for the rest of this year. Can you sign this petition asking Democrats to support President Obama’s stance by staying off FOX as long as he does?
Critics see the White House’s attempts at de-legitimizing the top ranked cable news outlet as a means of silencing opposition to Mr. Obama’s political platform. MoveOn.org, while not officially linked to the White House, usually follows lock step with the Obama administration and the Democrat party.
Charlie Black, a former McCain campaign strategist, told Politico, “Fighting with a bunch of different institutions turns him into a typical politician and makes people cynical that anyone’s really going to change Washington. A big part of his ‘hope and change’ message was: ‘We’re gong to talk to everyone.’ He might have had great intentions, but human nature and politics don’t change much.”
