Last week, I wrote an editorial entitled “Hoaxenhagen” about how Climategate has delegitimized the upcoming Copenhagen climate change summit. Climategate has been ignored by many politicians, including the White House and what conservatives derisively call the “mainstream media.” It is now full speed ahead to Copenhagen. Climategate. What Climategate?

Barack Obama with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon
Leaving aside the legality of how the East Anglia emails were brought to light, no one has denied that the emails are real. Phil Jones, the controversial researcher at the center of the global warming hoax, has stepped down from his influential post. Yes, it is a hoax. Clean water is an issue I’ll fight for, but we can no more control the climate then we can choose who we fall in love with. Nature has its own way. On top of that most of the “proof” of global warming is in doctored studies and outright lies. Al Gore comes to mind.
Cleverly, the left has changed the debate from “global warming” to “climate change.” They realized that global warming is unprovable and climate change happens daily. Heck, some days it rains, some it doesn’t; climate change occurs on a daily basis. The bottom line is the left is so close to pulling off a coup, they don’t want to jeopardize the whole thing by actually having to prove the case of global warming.
Unemployment is now at 10% in the United States, double the average of the Bush years, and the President is pursuing legislation that will literally break the U.S. bank. Mr. Obama pledged to fundamentally “change the United States of America” if elected. So far he is delivering on that promise. Socialized medicine, climate treaties that make the U.S. a servant of the United Nations, and the coming tax storm will all alter the landscape of American life in ways that we won’t really understand until it is too late.
I try and like the President. I really do, but whenever he does something decent he then follows up with a hard left move. Copenhagen is a sham. Shame on the citizens of this country (myself included) for not speaking up sooner about the left’s noxious and dishonest views on the climate.
If President Obama sells out this country in Copenhagen, as expected with his revised travel plans (the President will now be in Denmark during the negotiation phase of the summit), look for his poll numbers to shrink even further. I’m not sure the President cares anymore.
We are entering a crucial stage in human affairs. Over six billion populate this planet. The battle to preserve liberty has begun. Individual rights will suffer as the world enters a collectivist phase under the guise of climate change and other cause celebres of the left. The elite politicians and bureaucrats will rule and live the high life, while entrepreneurs and common folk in the private sector will become wards of the all powerful state.
Look at my state of California. Unemployment is at record levels, yet many state workers take home lifetime pensions worth over $100,000 a year. One fellow receives a $500k per year pension from the state for the rest of his life. Retire at 55 and die at 85, and you’ve got a $3 million pay day from the state for doing very little. The private sector can’t match that. Not surprisingly, state workers guard these benefits with an iron fist.
Look for bureaucrats world wide to receive similar benefits for “managing” the climate and our lives in the future. The rest of us: I guess we can eat cake.

The Truth Terrorists are destroying the world economy. The mainstream media supported by socialists, called Democrats in the US are destroying jobs! California has already been pretty much destroyed. Illinois has been screwed by its Democrats even after Blago was impeached. Obama and Durbin still exist and the corrupt Democrat Machine is still driving jobs out of Chicago! It's great that people are canceling their newspapers. Now we need to get the advertisers to quit on the mainstream networks. Nobody wathces NBC, MSNBC, and CNN. ABC and CBS are next to go. Most schools of journalism will be begging for students in the coming years as all they have produced is Truth Terrorists and the whole world knows it.

There were a LOT of Rich, Guilty, White people that voted for Obama. Now its time to PAY-UP. I WANT taxes to sky-rocket. When you vote with EMOTION, rather than LOGIC, you deserve what you get. I see a lot of "high-dollar" cars with Obama bumper stickers—I wonder what they will be driving Next Year ???

Ken I can not agree more. The truth is always clear but if you are not truthful you find away to move everything in the direction you want people to believe. Here are some simple facts
1. Rich people are hated by many but provide jobs to many and spend money in this economy
2. The government does not know how to spend and taxes on citizens will be spent improperly… on the other hand citizen of spend money properly so let them keep their money and cut taxes
3. There is more money coming in to the us treasury than ever before. We can cut taxes
4. Business is the only thing that can save this ecomony. Help it do that… Government must get out of the way
5. Obama has a selfish agenda to make a name for him self… the truth is his days will be SHORT no second term

Right on JEP we need to stand up and tell the truth… the war in afaganistan is an issue… get our men and women out or go to win… obaman sounds like he is tell our good solders they will not need a change of clothing… can you percieve any large undertaking like that being done in 18 months… these young americans will not even understand their job in that time… this was all political
Stop everything we are doing and work only on the economy… it is the card you were dealt President Obama so get to work and represent America the way you should… we may not be from Harvard, but we know what should be done… get on with the job and check the truth daily!

The central problem here is that you have de-legitimized yourselves by falsely representing facts, such as the embarrassment that you call climate-gate, where your "hero's" are computer hackers, criminals, who acquired private communications which no one can versify are accurate and not edited to some political purpose. Suggesting that Obama and democrats damaged the economy is total ignorance and dishonesty. The fact is that George W. Busch and the republican congress destroyed the economy, and that happened because they think like you do. Lies in a blog are still just lies, tell each other lies if you must, but please be respectful enough to comprehend that your polarized point of view is a distorted and abstracted version of the existing state of the nation.
The problem is simply that no one is earning enough wage to continue to buy at the rate Americans have historically traded their dollars in exchange for manufactured goods. Wages have not kept pace with inflation. Foreign trade with China has created inexpensive labor in (effectively) unlimited quantities, illegal immigrant labor has damaged the economies of several industries and destroyed the standard of care and compensation, particularly in building trades, the erosion of wages has grown to the extent that economic forcing here, has undermined the earning potential of the working class tax payers. Those same taxpayers who pay off the treasury notes. Simply stated if we backed up each dollar with gold and China had a machine that made gold out of sand, then China would effectively have the means to destroy our currency!
Well guess what, there are a thousand times more Chinese workers than American workers and the average wage they are paid is $1.50 and hour. That is the problem gentlemen, President Busch opened the wrong door!

Not to mention a total fallacy but "President Busch", Really?

Terry…
Consider employment. Obama will be gone in 2013 and free ride for deadbeats like you will be over.

I can't believe that we are not marching around our State Capitals and protesting about this Administration. It is so obvious to me that Obama is dangerous to this Country along with his gang. To me they are all terrorist!! They ignore the Constitution and our Bill of rights. They make their own rules as they go. The "Obama Deception" makes sense to me and what our leaders are really about. Obama is nothing but a pawn.

Obama is going to ignore everyone but his inner circle of radicals. Sadly, our country may not be our own much longer as he prepares to hand it over to anyone other than the american people (for whom he has so much disgust). My question is: These people we elected to represent us, are they in government for themselves or to represent us? They sit silently while the giveaway rolls ahead. surely there is someone in washington that cares about the US of A

Global warming is unproven in our lifetime and so is global cooling. Both happen but over an epoch of time and not within a few decades like the "warmer" might have you believe. We need to get together and have some real scientists examine the issue and not the political scientist. A real scientist might find out that the data is to short to understand in his lifetime and a study spanning thousands of year is necessary to understand the issue. The politicians (mostly the democrats because the rights of the group exceed the rights of the individuals… right demos..lol. I do not remember helping to write the constitution in that manner) will put us in a hole and pile the dirt on top of us with the Constitution of the United Sates of America in our hands. 2010 & 2012 are coming and we must make a change before it is to late!!
