ObamaCare’s Coming Paperwork Nightmare

SENDING APPLE A 1099 AFTER YOU PURCHASE A NEW MAC.  CRAZY?  IF YOU OWN A BUSINESS, STARTING IN 2012 YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO.

Take note Democrats, life in America is about to get much more difficult for millions of small business owners.  The following is an issue that will hit many Obama supporters, as well as conservatives, in the time and wallet area directly.  I doubt this one will be “tea party” only outrage.

Buying a Mac just got more complicated for millions of business owners.

Occasionally, you read something in politics that pushes you further to one political persuasion or the other.  This is one of those times.  The Democrats just can’t help themselves.  Control is the name of the game.

Starting in 2012, all businesses will be required to send a 1099 during tax season to anyone they do business with in the amount over $600.  I’m not talking about a graphic designer paid by the hour, I’m talking about any good or service purchased over the amount of $600 in any one tax tear.  If I replace the computer I’m currently typing on, in 2012, I’ll have to send Apple a 1099 at the end of the year.  That is the law.  If you own a deli you’ll have to send Boar’s Head, Snapple, Pepsi, CostCo, Marlboro, Office Depot and countless other businesses a 1099 if you deal with them directly and spend over $600.

Democrats talk about ObamaCare being a great piece of legislation, a game changer that “brings America into the 21st century,” but seriously, do moderate Democrats really think small businesses sending Apple a 1099 at the end of the year is a good use of people’s time and effort?

In addition to the time and cost, this provision will encourage businesses to only deal with big companies that sell many products, further damaging small business.  Who needs to deal with 50 vendors if you must gather their tax information and send them all a 1099 at the end of the year?  Conglomerates will thrive even more in the coming years.

For instance, what if I have four employees and comparison-shop for all four of their office desks over a year?  Why not just buy them all from one place?  Who needs the headache of having to chase down three additional businesses for their tax ID number?  It may be worth paying a few hundred dollars just to avoid the hassle of chasing down Mike’s Furniture for their Tax ID and a signed W-9.

Democrats seek control over everything in America.  This is what we collectively elected in 2008, a group of people who deem us servants.  Proof of this is in this insane provision of ObamaCare that is now law.  Remember, not a proposed law, but the actual law, as signed by President Obama.

The fear of Democrats here is that I might buy a computer from a small business that neglects to report that income to Uncle Obama.  This law is meant to counter that.  Can you say “hello, black market America?

The days of owning a small business, and having an easy life doing so, are nearing an end.  The ObamaCare nightmare of regulation is coming, and there are no exemptions!  When I say “easy life” I don’t mean not working hard, I mean uncomplicated and unimpeded.  Democrats love complicated.  That is the main difference between the two parties.  Abortion? Gay Rights?  No way, it is all about complication.  Republicans best remember this moving forward.  Social issues no longer matter in America.  It is now about preserving the free market system that is under siege by the President and Democrats in Congress.

How did this 1099 provision sneak past Fox News and other conservative media outlets during the health care debate?  Earlier press reports on this may not have stopped the monstrosity of ObamaCare from becoming law, but the expanded 1099 provision would have surely been squashed.

Independent voters, please keep in mind that this is what the Democrats have more of in store for you if they are allowed to maintain power past this year.

Big Brother is coming, folks, and his name may just be Barack Obama.
