Yes, Joe Paterno touched many lives in the world of college football.  But, nobody from Pennslvania mentions his lack of responsiblilty.  He should of stood up and been accountable.  One of his staff members, a 6 foot 5 inch former football players saw Sandusky allegedly assulting a young boy in the shower.  Paterno should have called the police, suspended Sandusky and let the police sort out the details.  Paterno touched so many lives, but imagine how many lives were ruined because of his cowardice.  Just imagine if the young boys who were allegedly assulted by Sandusky was one of you sons, nephews or grandchildren.  Paterno was too interested in winning football games.  Its too bad he passed away, nobody deserves to die of cancer.  The truth will be revealed and Penn State will suffer in their college sports program.  Paterno could have retired from a great college football program and went down in history being a hero.  If he had called the police, people would have praised Paterno for his heroism on and off the field.  its too bad his years of service were tarnished over one incident, but that incident affected many young people and will always be a dark cloud over Paterno’s name and Penn State.
