Anyone with a Facebook account has probably gotten a post urging you to sign a petition to take away Senate Independent Joe Lieberman’s Chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Once a Democrat, Joe was shut out of the primaries of his left-leaning Connecticut state party in 2006, ran as an Independent, and won. The people of Connecticut like their man, whatever his party affiliation.

Joe Lieberman and Harry Reid.
Now battlin’ Joe will be filibustering the Senate health care bill as he sees fit, and the left has predictably followed with ad hominem attacks. You just can’t find sexual, fiscal or ideological indiscretions in the Lieberman office, so progressively funded online ad agency Agit-Pop has created a simple interactive game in which the player hits Joe with Harry Reid’s gavel and strips his clothes.
I’ll ruin the surprise by telling you, after his “I Love Aetna” t-shirt comes off, his body is skinny and draped with baggy flesh, he’s wearing Republican undershorts, a tattoo reading “Independent Thug” , and, under the shorts, a thong imprinted with the letters GOP and a cartoon of Joe’s face.
You can send the game (http://www.agit-pop.com/joe/) to your friends after you sign a petition directed to Harry Reid asking for Lieberman’s resignation of his chairmanship AND you can buy the thong underwear for $8.95. Really.
I don’t know where to begin. Is this monetizing protest? Nice capitalistic touch. Or meant to humiliate Joe? I guess both. I’ll enjoy watching the unflappable Joe read the phone book as Harry Reid turns purple.
