LOS ANGELES (YBH) – Right wing talk show host Sean Hannity is being accused of fraud by a usual ally, columnist Debbie Schlussel.

Sean Hannity to feel heat over charity concerts.

Ms. Schlussel has written a scathing piece about the talk show crumudgeon’s “Freedom Concerts” over at www.debbieschlussel.com.  The article lays out in heavy detail how Mr. Hannity’s “Freedom Concerts” have only spent 3 cents of every dollar raised helping wounded soldiers.  In one case, a soldier who lost three limbs fighting in Iraq was given $200 by Mr. Hannity’s charity.  To quote Ms. Schlussel, “While Hannity’s Freedom Concerts take in millions, only a few hundred thousand go to the claimed intended recipients.”

The rest of the money raised, a staggering $46 million, has gone to cover expenses including Mr. Hannity’s exclusive use of a G5 private jet, a slew of luxury vehicles, and expansive hotel suites for him and his entourage.  (NOTE: We at YBH! are hearing rumblings that the charity doesn’t pick up Mr. Hannity’s personal travel expenses, however, the figures Ms. Schlussel references seem beyond repute.  The charity pays cronies and consultants millions more than it does to soldiers and their families.)

Sean Hannity is not listed as a staff member on Freedom Alliance’s website, however he is the public face and voice of the group.   Mr. Hannity constantly pitches the “freedom concerts” on his radio and TV shows.

The hyper-partisan leftist Daily Kos covered this issue in 2007.

why would you say usual ally? debbies been attacking vannity for years. hes a phony. she created the name sean vannity. damn dude you just assume everyone on the right thinks the same. hell no millions of us conservatives spotted vannity as a fraud years ago. the only people like his sorry butt are people who like george bush and john mccain. the true conservative has no problem calling bs on his or her own side. we take pride in it. but your not gonna see any of that type of stuff on fox news or main stream conservative sites they all sleep in the same bed and are frauds. why hasn't hannity responded to this very damning accusation? youd think a guy who makes millions by claiming to be a patriot would break into regular scheduled programming to defend himself but hes had three shows since hes on tonight and hasn't said a word. hes a fraud. its disgusting.

I'm a conservative and I think Hannity's a fraud and a GOP hack. "Just vote Republican, people, and the sun will shine again." Wrong, Sean: We need constitutional conservatives, not more check-pants Repubics.

As much as I can't stand Hannity, I'm shocked to hear about this latest scam. A triple limb loss soldier gets $200?? WTF???????
