History will record the above headline whether we all like it or not. The Germans lost WWII. Charles Lindbergh was the first human to fly across the Atlantic. 9/11 happened; afterward, a Mosque went up. Spin it however you like, the truth remains the same.
America has become a place where up is often down and in is often out.
How about last week? Democrats applauded with glee when a foreign President knocked an American law while addressing Congress. Our Congress! Where is the precedent for that? Meanwhile, filmmaker Woody Allen wishes that Barack Obama would be named Dictator of the United States. Just for a little while, says the Wood-man.
I’m starting to wonder if there is lead in our water. Perhaps the long term side effects of excess use of corn syrup is coming home to roost. History classes in 2562 may talk about the corollary between lead pipes in ancient Rome and corn syrup in 21st century America. Hey, you never know.
What has happened to the judgment of the people of the United States? When did we become the kind of people that would scream “Obama, Obama,” at political rallies like a nation of mesmerized sheep? It is fine the Democrats chose and the nation elected Barack Obama, but did we need the idol worship?
Illegal immigration is destroying the fabric of this country, yet any discussion of a solution involving the rule of law leads to charges of racism. Illegals by and large come to the United States to find a better life for themselves, however they also often take a job from an American born citizen and by and large depress wages. Those facts are indisputable. How can we even attempt to solve immigration if it is taboo to discuss the truth?
Muslims destroyed the Twin Towers in the name of Allah, yet New York city approves a Mosque complex around the corner from where the towers once stood? Shameful. Let’s face it, 9/11 made the words “Islam” and “Muslim” household words in America. In that regard, Osama Bin Laden won an astounding victory. Argue all you like, but it sure looks like certain parties are rubbing 9/11 in the faces of New Yorkers with the “9/11″ Mosque project.
What will become of America if we don’t start setting some limits on what we accept as a nation? Political correctness has lead us down the road of ruin. Will we turn it around before all is lost? I honestly don’t know. It can go either way at this point.
Tomorrow we will learn if BP’s attempt to “Plug the damn hole”, as the President put it, was successful. If it was, the US Government will begin the process of extracting as much pain and money as possible from British Petroleum. Soon after, the President and both parties in Congress will be working full tilt on the mid-term elections, using countless oil-based resources to fly all over the country to convince us that more (or less) government is just what we need right about now.
Both sides will slam BP over the terrible accident, and both sides will use the spill to garner political points. No one will even stop to think about the fact that we need oil in order to run the modern world. Nope! BP is on the ropes and must be milked for every dollar and vote possible.
Up is down and in is out.
