WASHINGTON, D.C. (YBH.ME) – An expected finding by the EPA to be released next week would label greenhouse emissions a “danger to human health and welfare,” which will open the door to the EPA regulating virtually all of American business.

CO2 emissions to give EPA broad powers.
Democrats are playing for keeps on the climate issue, and many moderates may find themselves in a bind politically. President Obama has moved his trip to Copenhagen to the final weekend, the time when most pundits say a deal, if one is to be had, will be negotiated. Release of the EPA finding will add pressure for the President to make a deal in Copenhagen.
Over the past few weeks, leaked emails from East Anglia University have put the science behind global warming in doubt. Most major news services and the Obama administration itself have ignored the “Climategate” scandal and are pushing the global warming line as settled science more than ever ahead of the Copenhagen summit.
The EPA ruling, if put into effect, will have widespread consequences for American business and make the EPA one of the most powerful arms of government with the power to regulate CO2. Everything from cattle to the coal industry emit CO2.
Conservatives have made issue of claims that the EPA, and the Obama administration, have suppressed a report by Dr. Alan Carlin. Mr. Carlin is an EPA veteran who wrote a report critical of the EPA’s endangerment findings in regard to CO2.
The EPA finding was completed on April 17, 2009 and has been under review, not to mention the focus of much political jockeying, since that date.
